Le Soin Régénérescence, roll-on contour des yeux bio Hendiya® à la figue de barbarie et à la rose musquée

Waking up with dark circles or bags under your eyes is not something serious or uncommon. But let's be honest, we would still like to wake up looking refreshed and ready to attack the day. There is certainly the concealer trick that saves us for the day, but why not prefer simple and natural gestures to put an end to the tired look?

Although age, due to the progressive loss of collagen, plays a role in the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, other factors are incriminated such as fatigue, stress, poor food hygiene…Here are 5 natural tips to fight against dark circles and bags under the eyes.

Le Soin Régénérescence, Hendiya® organic eye contour roll-on with prickly pear and rosehip

  • Sleep neither too much nor too little

It's nothing new: lack of sleep is one of the major causes of the appearance of dark circles and bags under the eyes. A good night's sleep is the key secret to waking up looking fresh and glowing. It is therefore recommended to sleep around 8 hours a night in good conditions (good position, cool and clean room, etc.). Be careful not to oversleep, however, because excessive sleep increases the chances of waking up with puffy eyes.

  • Adopt a good position to ensure good blood circulation

Lying down slows the circulation of blood and lymphatic vessels. These become congested during this period of inactivity, which causes dark circles to swell.

To combat this stagnation, it is recommended to change position regularly and/or to sleep with your head slightly elevated (with several pillows for example) in order to promote the drainage of fluids downwards of the face to avoid puffiness on waking.

Rose water has been used since ancient times for its multiple antioxidant and antibacterial properties which prevent wrinkles and fine lines while providing hydration to the skin. But rose water also works wonders on the eyes. In particular, it helps to prevent dark circles and bags under the eyes. It is also able to soothe the eyes gently.

To do this, soak cotton pads in rose water then place them in a cool place before sleeping, because the cold allows reactivating blood circulation as well as that of the lymphatic tissues. When you wake up, apply these cotton pads to each of your eyelids for a few minutes, you will see the swelling of the eyes decrease instantly after that.

  • Massage your eye area every night with the right care

Activating blood circulation around the eyes allows blood to circulate better and thus reduces signs of fatigue and dark circles. It is therefore necessary to include in your night ritual massaging the eye contour when applying eye care. To do this, it is advisable to tap and gently massage the underside of the eyes using small circular movements.

To maximize the effects of the massage, favor eye contour treatments rich in antioxidant actives like rosehip and vitamin E, such as Le Soin Régénérescence, which promote skin regeneration and improved skin elasticity, and therefore help reduce dark circles under the eyes.

Tip: As with rose water, remember to keep your eye contour cool to maximize its effects.

  • Have a healthy diet

That's the basic rule! Having good food hygiene is one of the best ways to fight against the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Ban fat and favor foods rich in vitamins (green vegetables, citrus fruits, fish, eggs, etc.). Also remember to limit your salt intake which tends to promote water retention and therefore the formation of bags under the eyes.
